German National Tourist Office, India uses ITB
India 2021 as an important industry platform for the restart phase
The German National Tourist Office, India
presents the travel country Germany at the ITB India. ITB India 2021 virtual
event will be held on 7 – 9 April. GNTO, India will focus on the recovery
strategy for the travel Destination Germany during and after the Corona crisis
with the highlight on the current online destination training program with its
strategy to spread more widespread awareness on the destination amongst the
Tour operators across India. The online destination training program would
provide Indian tour operators and travel agents with the in-depth knowledge
needed to market the destination authoritatively and persuasively to their
clients.
Speaking
on the occasion, Mr. Romit Theophilus, Director Sales and Marketing, The German
National Tourist Office, India said "Especially in times of pandemic, a
strong presence on the most important B2B marketplace of the international
travel industry ITB India 2021 is indispensable. With this virtual platform the
GNTO, India will draw the attention of Travel trade whilst the virtual appointments
and showcase alternate offers beyond the familiar tourist hotspots, such as
green spaces, parks, local recreation areas and leisure activities in the vicinity
of urban destinations as the Corona pandemic has disproportionately affected
city breaks as a particularly successful segment”
In
addition to the Germany Specialist Programme, GNTO, India Is live with its
#DiscoverGermanyFromHome campaign with Conde Nast and Outlook Traveller
featuring several unique virtual experiences on a new, inspiring microsite.
Virtual travellers will be able to try classic German recipes, enjoy fun
knowledge tests, check out playlists, highlighting the best of German music,
and visit Germany via a large selection of 360° virtual tours. A highlight of
the site is the "Dream Now - Visit Later" video, featuring
aspects of dreams changing from creative sketches and paintings into a living
reality, hoping to inspire travellers to let their German travel dreams become
reality when travel abroad is possible again.
