The key stakeholders gathered for various brainstorming sessions during The Mice Conference Expo & Awards 2019 in Delhi. The conference was organized by Mice Affairs Magazine from India. There were various sessions starting from MICE Travel-Opportunities and Loopholes, Association Buyers and also a focused discussion on Technology advancement for MICE projects.

For the Technology session, experts from respective domains were invited to share their views with the audience. Organizations like Hubilo, Travelexic, Hanker Solutions and Key Disruptors shared their views on Technological advancements in store for MICE community. Also the current adaptability of techniques was elaborated by the distinguished speakers.

On the other hand, organizations executing various MICE Projects like PInwheel Travel & Experience, Kolormice Tours shared the requirements from a MICE Planners viewpoint. “Technology can act as a support function for MICE projects. But the end user has to be educated about the usage to get maximum output” commented Mr. Rajesh Raghavan from Pinwheel.

“Reason for slow adoption of Technology in MICE is more or less related to Inertia and Cost involved. But now the time is changing. Even the Corporate Buyers are now emphasizing on the need of various apps as it helps them to get connected with their business partners throughout the event. Moreover, they feel connected” quoted Dhruv Chauhan, founder Travelexic

“Technology is the way towards Smart events. The future holds good space for Technology Inclusions in all verticals of MICE. Considering the growing number of smartphone users, this can be a game changer” quoted Mr. Vijay Dadheech, Key Disruptors.

Mr. Hansraj Dutta focused on the AI and Big Data being the upcoming advancements which can be a great contributor for organizations in various domains. Mr. Sirohi from Kolormice Tours presented a comparison of MICE a decade ago and in present times, so as to establish a link between MICE and Technology needs.
