Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 2 (TNEC2), a new venue funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and operated by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), will open on March 4th,2019 for its first exhibition-TIMTOS 2019.
Convenient public transportation, safe and tourist-friendly culture always allows foreign guests to enjoy their stay in Taiwan. TNEC2 is 15 minutes from the city center by metro and 45 minutes from Taoyuan International Airport by car.
Combined with the spaces already available in Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1, the total capacity holds more than 5,000 booths and 38 meeting rooms. These two exhibition centers are expected to become the core venues of Taiwan's MICE industry, as well as one of the major convention and exhibition centers in Asia.
TNEC2 offers 156,700 sqm floor space to accommodate 32,000 visitors for exhibitions, conferences, business meetings, and events. As the first exhibition hall to be awarded the “Golden-Level Green Building Label” in Taiwan, TNEC2 features 6,100 sqm outdoor sky garden space on the top floor, in conjunction with the 7th-floor convention hall which has a seating capacity of 3,600 and provides a beautiful view while remaining multifunctional.
TNEC2 will open its door to the public to welcome the 2019 Taipei International Machine Tool Show (TIMTOS 2019), the world’s 3rd largest machine tool trade show and the 2nd largest in Asia. TIMTOS 2019, jointly organized by TAITRA and the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI), will use 7,000 booths, a 28.9% increase of exhibition scale and a record high for TIMTOS, to promote the machine tool industry and supply chain. Other Taiwan International trade shows such as the Taipei Cycle Show and Computex show will benefit for the opening of TNEC2 in expanding their exhibition scale.
